Here’s a video so pretty it makes me wish fall was here – almost.

An update from the Jason McEwan on the condition of the Tenquille Trail:
“Just wanted to let you know I was up the Branch 12 road (off the Hurley) to the Tenquille trail yesterday and cut out a bunch of brush on the road…Unfortunately the branch 12 trail is in bad shape – the first km or so is totally buried in windfalls two and three thick. Some people have dragged bikes through but it could be a struggle. Word has it that once you get through to wolverine creek the downhill section on the front of the hill (main trail, through the burn) is in great shape.”
Thanks for all the hard work, Jason – hopefully this will inspire some other chainsaw-wielding bikers to start chipping away at the trail.

Another in our not-too-regularly scheduled Tuesday Toonies is coming up June 15. The Bike Co., The Pony, Billabong, Evolution and Schramm Vodka are teaming up to sponsor – riders meet at 6 p.m. at the gravel pit, ride starts at 6:30. All participants must be PVTA members, and memberships will be available at the start for $10. After party is at the Pony.

The Pemberton Wildlife Association has been hosting some trail maintenance days up on the fire-damaged Tenquille Lake trail, and Allen McEwan sent along some photos of their latest. Looking good, guys! I’ll try and make it to the next one. (click on the thumbnails to open the gallery)

Re-posting this to bump it up the homepage: The PVTA fundraiser is this Friday evening, 8 p.m. at the Pemberton Community Centre. There will be a multimedia slideshow presentation, refreshments and tunes, along with a raffle with prizes from Tyax Air, Pemberton Soaring, Whistler Bungee, the Bike Co, Evolution, Fanatyco, Chromag and more.
It is important that the biking community come out and support this effort. Funding for future trail work is largely dependent on a demonstrated community commitment, which is measured by the amount of cash we can put up front. See you there!
